Outfit | Doing it White.

I usually don't do whites. The reason is but obvious and if you're living in the dusty part of the city, you'll have to start singing to MJ. However, I've been inclined towards monochrome looks specifically in white. While putting up this look together I realized that I have only a few white clothes and no white bag! [I've been on the hunt for a pure white box bag for the longest time now.] I'm wearing high waisted shorts by ZARA, white inner top, ZARA again and the blazer is my cousins! [Thanks to our occasional slumbers, I borrowed them to get an all-white combination.] Now I am certain that I started getting dressed from the bottom because I was dying to break into these shoes, so the rest of the outfit just followed up.
I can't handle white clothes, so this should be it. Not again. :)

TOD'S SS12

The lovely Caterina.
Say HI to the gorgeous Imsu!
The lovely, versatile CAT! Meowwww. >.<

On the 17th of April, we were invited to visit the Tod's store at DLF Emporio to view the SS12 collection. The lovely Caterina Guarnieri of the Tod's International Press Office in Milan is in India and she was there to introduce us to the collection. Every time I've flipped through magazines and come across pictures of models advertising Tod's, my reaction has always been, 'They look so comfortable!' Haven't you felt the same? I mean, those lovely Italian leather goodies spell class and comfort. I maybe a little too young to be coveting the bags and shoes, but I'm definitely getting them when I'm older. [And rich-er!] :D

The SS12 collection is lively- lots of colors [neons too!] and a shift to different designs especially for bags.
Did you spot the little blue shoe? What could be cuter than that! Nothing fascinates me more than super tiny shoes for tiny tots. Imsu from The-Aili, Lesly from Lazymanxcat and Surabhi from Lovestruckcow were there too, we looked around, took pictures, indulged in a little chit-chat and then went to Smoke House Deli for lunch. All in all, it was a lovely afternoon.

Obviously, it was followed by a photo shoot. Pictures of which I shall post soon!

Vegetable Car

It was a fine afternoon, and for a change I got dressed to go out to the market rather than worshiping the television and spending another lazy Sunday. About a 100 meters away from where I live is a park. There is a smaller one just before which is dusty and deserted, except during the evenings when a bunch of kids and older boys play cricket. We took a stroll around and I got a few pictures taken. 'Few' because it is practically impossible to pose around and not get the young, old, married and un-married lot staring at you like you just landed from space. Subconsciously I developed a fondness for the old men sitting around in groups of three-four, playing a game of cards, oblivious to anything that was happening around. 'Thank you! You old, happy blokes, I chose to confine myself to your area.' The little boys, however, manged to follow us everywhere, huddling around, passing comments and asking for their pictures to be taken. That is basically the story of all my outdoor takes. I still haven't figured out the cause- population of India? Or the nature of people themselves? Only North Delhi knows!

Apart from which, life has been its typical self. A little kind sometimes, allowing me to chance upon this lovely kimono outwear just when I was in need of one! Got my shorts from a thrift store. Somehow only thrift stores seem to have my perfect type of shorts. Obviously I couldn't be happier! Notice how my nail paint matches the pastel print on the kimono? Brilliant co-incidences. Exams are lurking around and  they continue to haunt me even as I write this post. So its goodbye for now.

Wills Lifestyle Event. [Featuring the Giveaway Winner!]

Sometime around last week, Imsu and me participated in the Wills Lifestyle contest where we had to style the models at the store. It was a Summer look that had to be created and out of the collection we chose to go with the minimal white top/dress for the female model and use minimum accessories. For the male model, we chose an off white khaki shirt and paired it with cream pants. There weren't too many 'summery' items to choose from but we managed this look and now I'd ask all of you to spare a few seconds, go over to this link HERE and 'like' the picture. It's a maximum no. of likes contest, so please help us. :)

Also, I delayed the announcement of the Giveaway winner by a day or two for personal reasons and I am really sorry. It's out now and the generator has picked Tsewang Yangtso Dorji. Congratulations! I will be contacting you shortly.

Put on your Sunday clothes!

ONE

TWO

THREE

FOUR

We all get the urge to play 'dress up' and after a long, long time, I felt like it today. A few months ago, I was on the hunt for a slouchy sequined coat, and my darling sister got one for me, though the time lapse between the 'want' and the 'purchase' was longer than usual. I've just styled the coat in four different ways. I would have gone on to put together a few more looks but I ran out of patience. And energy. -_-

1. With high waisted denims. Ah, yes. Summer is back. And that means just one thing. My shorts are breathing! They've become a part of me now. Honestly, I will never be able to spend a summer in Delhi without them. I love how black sequins works against faded denims. The combination is just perf!

2. With pegged trousers. Among the mess, I couldn't find my off-white loose sleeveless shirt. Which I think would have looked better than the black one I'm wearing. A casual comfortable outfit.

3. Plaid maxi dress! Who thought of plaid & sequins? I never did, before today. After which, I was in love.

4. High waisted floral shorts with a basic gray shirt. I think its important to balance the glitter with something basic and dull like the shirt. Overdoing it would be disastrous.

Most items in the post are all thrift buys. So there goes. Four different looks with one coat. Which one's your favorite? :D
